The second stop of my North Georgia trip was at Amicalola Falls State Park near Dawsonville, GA on Wednesday. Amicalola Falls is Georgia’s highest at 729ft, making it a breathtaking sight. The climb up and down the staircases alongside the falls isn’t easy for those of us who live on the coast and aren’t used to going up and down, but it’s well worth the climb to see the majestic natural beauty of the waterfall. I’d never seen anything quite like it before in person and I was simply in awe.
